I would have no problem paying 50 dollars either, thanks to no monthly fee. This is the first MMO I've played in years as I refuse to pay a monthly fee to play a game. If I played hours a day I could understand it, but I get maybe a few hours a week to actually play on the weekends mainly. It's jut not worth it for me to pay to play that small of time.

20 x 6 = 120 At the minimum of what you say, I'll be paying about half of what I am paying right now in monthly fees. Seems like a good deal to me, and a lot less. Sure, you guys in the US will only have a difference of like $30, since you would only have to pay like $90 in 6 months, but hey, $30 is still a lot of money to be saving. |

Amen. I'll happily pay fifty bucks for each expansion as well, and I'd do it whether I was saving any money or not. The reason being that purchasing the expansions is my choice and rather than simply charging me for the privelege of playing the game, I'm actually getting a truckload of new content whenever I shell out.

I'd pay 50$ for expantions.
If they will be worth it. I highly doubt ArenaNet could make an expantion with 'the same ammount of content' as the original game in only six months. I also doubt they'll even want to make the huge ammount of content twice every year. However I hope that they won't be like the stingy Bethesda and if they have a new quest logging system (for example), they will offer it for free instead of adding it to the expantion. |

Well as far as I can see the fact that you don't have to buy every expansion that they sell is a real plus. I just hope that they keep that in mind when they produce them, it would suck if you have to get expansion A to get to expansion B. I don't know how they expect to solve this but I'm guessing the same kind of transport you can do now to any area you've already been to.
I also hope that any of the changes that they make to the skills, items, etc are available to all players not just to those who buy the expansion. Any of the articles that I've read all seem to point to the fact that they want to make the game fair for all players, not just the ones who spend all their time and money on the game. It's supposed to be fun for everyone (Sorry I know I'm sounding like a Saturday morning cartoon ) And thanx Relazil I'm glad to see I'm not the only Canadian here . |

QUOTE] since they flat out stated about the same amount i will take their word on it for now dont fotget a huge amount of the content is already in their development library waiting to be put on a map with a single click rather than having to start from scratch on each item completely new content will need doing but look at the practice they already have each new chapter will build on the others and more and more will be done and ready to simply modify and drop which will save much time |
